Mohn Named General Manager of KWCH in Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. — Media General’s Broadcast Division has named Kathy Mohn vice president and general manager of KWCH-TV, the company’s CBS affiliate in Wichita. She also will oversee three affiliated Kansas stations in Goodland, Hays and Dodge City.

“The three words that describe Kathy best are integrity, creativity and commitment,” said Jim Conschafter, a vice president in Media General’s Broadcast Division. “Kathy understands the Wichita market. She has a long track record of building and motivating successful teams, and she has experience working for and selling CBS.”

Mohn was most recently director of sales for WCCO-TV, a station that is owned and operated by Viacom/CBS in Minneapolis. Before taking that job in 1998, she held local and general sales management positions at KAKE-TV in Wichita. Mohn also has a broad base of media sales experience in newspapers, radio and outdoor advertising.

“Kathy is a 17-year media veteran, and she has been successful throughout her career,” Conschafter said. “She will be an innovative and outstanding leader for KWCH and its affiliated stations.”
